For the modules with CV selection, companies will look at your CV to decide which students they would like to meet. To make sure your CV looks good, take the following information into account! Do you want to make sure you are fully prepared? Then you can also visit the BBD preparation day for a CV training.
The key elements that should always be on the CV are a title, photo, personal information, personal statement, education, work experience, extracurricular activities, skills, and hobbies.
Your CV is personal document, it depends on how you want to present yourself. The suggestions are based on what YER knows employers look for.
Some general tips:
– Use a photo: faced towards the camera, use a neutral background and smile friendly into the camera
– Personal information consists of several elements: name, address, phone number, email, date of birth and nationality (though this is not obligated).
– Write a personal statement by reflecting on your qualities and skills.
Besides these general tips, YER offers you a cv-check. This means their experienced consultants will have a look at your CV and give your personal feedback. This is an opportunity to improve your CV and to increase the chance of being selected by companies.
If you want to receive feedback before the deadline of the Beta Business Days we ask you to upload your CV before the 22nd of February 12:00. However, you can still upload your CV after the 22nd of February and receive feedback.
